Well I figure I should enter the new age of "blogs" . I don't expect anyone to ever read this but myself .....so I'll consider It my own little parcel of cyberspace to do what I want. The intention here is to document my entry into the world of cyclocross. Tried it a few times and really liked it. I've done only 3 races this year and I think I can get two more in before the end of the year. The next to the last being the finale of the WCS cyclocross series and the last being the Jinglecross in Coralville, Iowa. So far I can't really decide where I want to fit in race-wise. The 40+ age group is very competitive but I'm not sure if racing the killer B's would be more exciting. I'm thinking of doing one more 40+ for the WCS series and considering the B's for Iowa. The 40+ in Iowa is only 35" + 1 lap. An awful long road trip for a 35" race. Might be kinda fun to "end" the season with a good race though instead of getting schooled on my last effort. For next season I'm totally considering doing the Alan Factory Team deal. I've already made contact with Renee Callaway who heads the recruiting effort. All the deals for the frames seem pretty good. Sucks though b/c I just bought a new Felt F1X crosser. Oh well what's one more bike in the barn. I'll just put the groupo on the new Alan rig and I'll be good to go. Time to put the kids to bed so over and out....
